Fanlisting
According to what The Fanlistings Network defines it to be, a fanlisting is a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject.
I have been into fanlistings for about 3 years now, and enjoy this "hobby" immensely. For more information, you may check out The Fanlistings Network, where I ironically happen to be a staffer for the Sports category.
History
So there's a little story often times with each fanlisting I create and own. I originally was watching the previous Crosby fanlisting for a while, which was not updated for quite a bit. It was finally removed from the Network, and I jumped at the chance to apply for it. I was approved by the lovely Jen K in March 2006, and the fanlisting made its debut on March 18, 2006.
If it is not obvious enough, I am a huge hockey fan. While I do not live in Canada, though Buffalo is arguably as close to Canada as one can get around here, I read all the hockey magazines, and have long heard about Sidney Crosby and his amazing feats. I was certainly excited to finally be able to see him play, as he joined the Penguins of the NHL. His rookie year was absolutely amazing to watch, and he is even better in his sophomore season.
